Beach volleyball team partners Kerri Walsh Jennings/Misty May-Treanor win the third straight Olympic gold at the 2012 London Olympics against the other USA team, Jennifer Kessy and April Ross 21-16, 21-16 in an all-American final on Wednesday night. Kerri and Misty have an unbeaten streak, winning all 21 matches in a row, in the 2004 Athens Olympics, the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and now the 2012 London Olympics! In the 3 Summer Games, they have only lost one of the 43 sets they have played. A 3-peat like USA Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.
Kessy and Ross won the silver, and Brazil's Juliana and Larissa won the bronze, beating China's Xue Chen and Zhang Xi in an earlier match on Wednesday.
Misty plans to retire now:
"This is my last match," she says. "Beach volleyball's not going to be my career anymore. ... It's time for me to be a wife. I want to be a mom and share time with my family. All of us as athletes sacrifice more on the family end than people realize. And it's getting back to that. My mind says it's time. My body says it's time. And it's the right time."

Kerri is happy celebrating and plans to continue playing. She will announce who she plans on playing with next later, as she says she hasn't approached any of the people she has been thinking about teaming up with.
"It's insane. It doesn't feel like it's real," Walsh Jennings said. "I told Misty when we were getting our medals: 'If I wake up tomorrow and we have to replay this match, I'm going to be furious.' Because it feels like I'm in a dream.
"It truly feels surreal and it didn't feel like that the first two times for whatever reason. But this, it's almost too good to be true."
