Go on a diet! You could join one of those weight loss clubs with an expensive meal plan, or starve yourself on a fad diet. Just quit eating anything that isn’t whole grain or green. Join a gym! Start exercising like mad and see how long it takes to drop the weight.

And Michael Phelps has been training with his coach for 16 years. Not sure which club Gabby switched from when she was 14, to go to Chow's Gymnastics club, but gymnastics coaching quality is very important not just for advancement of skills, but safety. As is the gymnastics equipment - pits for safe landing of hard skills as you learn them, a good spot, coaches teaching correct technique and[ Read More... ]

Gross and strange, the latest weight loss diet - or more like placebo effect - in the media now is, believe it or not, daily urine injections. Those infomercials were hilarious - it was on again Friday night during the all-around finals on Universal Sports TV. Reminded me of the comedy infomercials during the Dancing With The Stars show Monday, the Bruno dance video and rubber steps that can teach you how to dance and you can also use as salad scoopers...of course difference is that the DWTS was meant to be funny.

Aluminum/metal bats have been banned for the rest of this year's baseball season in the Marin Athletic League by a unanimous vote. The aim is to give the players in the field more time to cover their face and get a glove ready for the ball - balls jump off much faster off a metal bat than a wooden bat. The move has come from three parents of high school baseball players, referring to the Match 11[ Read More... ]
