You mean refer you to go to a sports medicine doctor for more advice, who's in the specialization, or do you mean tell you to do like physical therapy stuff instead of sports? It's good to go to a sports medicine doctor who is an orthopedist, they can give you good advice. Not necessarily just tell you not to do something.

And then 9pm homework? :D When do you do ballet then? It really depends on how you feel on whether you're pushing it too much. I think most or all elite gymnasts take at least one day off in the week to rest, or they do something light and fun, like swimming - you don't have to like sit on the couch and watch tv, you know. Yup! Oversplits is when you do the splits over 180, so like your front leg or back leg or both legs are on something higher when you are in splits. Don't worry, you'll learn the names fast when you're in the gym. Usually gyms call the class right before the team level Advanced. There could also be some girls in the class who just don't want to compete and so do that. That video could be like[ Read More... ]

Hi! Sure, I think you can get a class for rhythmic gym. Ballet will help a lot, and that you're very flexible, so you probably will even start at a higher level class than beginner. Try looking at the Gym Chat gym directory section for a club that offers rhythmic gymnastics near you: http://www.gymchat.com/listings/index.php?cat=7 . Don't worry about your age, 16 is not a big deal at all. If[ Read More... ]

There are so many articles on Putin's and Kabaeva's wedding coming in on the Gymnastics Blogs & News section. Usually rhythmic gymnastics gets the least media coverage when they air the gym competitions, and then acrobatic gymnastics and trampoline too, then men's, the most goes to women's artistic gymnastics. Rhythmic gymnastics gets some spotlight now. Maybe more people will know what it is[ Read More... ]

"Vladimir Putin 'to wed Olympic gymnast half his age' " [quote]Rumours of Mr Putin's courtship of the rhythmic gymnast champion and model, who is now a member of the Russian parliament, have been circulating unofficially for some time. Terry is really good. His singing is good, plus it has impersonations, and plus he's not moving his lips either! I liked Jerry on 'Dancing with the Stars too'. He's cool. Nice and funny.

I found this article from 3-11-2005 - hard to believe - it's physical abuse and pornographic abuse. So wrong. If you know Russian, the article is: http://www.kp.ru/daily/23607.4/46405/ At the Centre for Olympic Preparation in Omsk, Russia. The gymnast Anzhela Murzileva says that when her coach Oksana Maltseva discovered the she was eating sweets, which was forbidden, she pinched and hit[ Read More... ]
