Tumbling tumble strip different than artistic gym floor?
Is the tumbling stipr the tumblers use like in the World Championships tumbling competition different than the one used in artistic gymnastics floor excercise - besides it being a strip instead of a square of course. Looks bouncier. Like maybe the tumbling strip we use in practice? Higher easier tumbling.

They use a Power Tumbling Rod Frame Floor strip like here: http://www.rossathletic.com/rod-floors-rod-frames.htm
Tubular fiberglass rods ensure no "lock-up" when tumbling Each steel frame section is 8" (20cm) high, 6' (1.8M) wide and 4' (1.2M) long Rods are covered by a layer of 1-3/8" (35mm) foam backed carpet, over a layer of 2" (50mm) polyethylene foam (not included) "
Elevated spring runway tumbling strip. It's a good wide strip, at 6 feet wide, 4 feet long to do lots of tumbling in a row. I posted the 2007 World Championships videos for Trampoline & Tumbling under the Videos section here.
