How fit / in shape should the coach be?
How fit and in shape do you think the coach should be? In the lower levels, like in the toddler / preschool classes it's not such a big deal, but in the rec. classes even and especially in the team and higher level classes I think it's important that the coach should be fit and in shape - of course even especially more if they are the heavy spotting coaches that spot you when you are just learning the skill and are teaching you it (vs. the coaches that only spot when you already have worked on the skill for a while...). It would be great if all the coaches were all in shape though. :D

I agree. Makes sense! The gyms probably don't pay that much for the lower level teachers/coaches, so they can't be that picky. Reminds me of the Oprah show they did on losing weight and they picked like 5 women and 1 man to do the program. The man is an owner of a workout gym and he was saying how he feels he's a fraud/fake for being overweight and out of shape and owning the gym.

you need muscle to spot, especially for release moves.
