Don't know if it is was a re-run, but Dominique Moceanu was on the Dr. Phil show yesterday - the topic was on parents pushing their kids too much in sport. Couldn't have been that old though if it was a re-run, Dominique talked about having 2 kids and not pushing them in the sport like her dad and coaches Bela and Marta Karolyi did. Dominique said gymnastics was fun for her before she moved to Texas to train with the Karolyis and got the same 'fear and shame tactics' from her coaches as with her dad. She also said she went through a 'dark path' after the '96 Olympics (she was the youngest Olympian, at age 14), filing for emancipation when she was 17 and didn't like any adult to tell her what to do anymore - and that she did drugs/alcohol. Drugs?
