It was a great day to be a Golden Bear as two Cal standouts - former star Elsie Windes and sophomore Emily Csikos - led the United States and Canada, respectively, to Friday's gold medal match of the 2009 FINA World Championships in Rome. On Wednesday, July 29, Windes paced Team USA with five goals in the American's 8-7 victory over Greece, while Csikos was Canada's leading scorer with three goals in its 8-7 win over Russia. The United States and Canada will now play in the World Championship gold medal match on Friday, July 31 at 12 p.m. Pacific Time.
