The California track and field team opened competition at the Stanford Invitational Friday at Cobb Track & Angell Field and earned seven NCAA Regional qualifiers. The seven qualifiers for the Golden Bears were sophomore Cherrelle Garrett in the 100, senior Brook Turner in the 400, freshman Debra Maier in the 5000, senior Jordan Paul in the 110-meter hurdles, senior Jake Hanson in the 400-meter hurdles, junior Ryan Young in the javelin and junior Yosef Ghebray in the 10,000.
