2007 Season in Review Chavez Earns First-Team Pac-10 All-Academic Honors Led by the core group of senior David Torrence and juniors Yosef Ghebray and Mark Matusak, the California men's cross country team had its best season in the history of the program in 2007. The Golden Bears participated as a team in the NCAA championships for the first time in school history. They also reached their highest national ranking of eighth over the course of the campaign.
