Vollmer Paces U.S. Relay to Fourth Place, Qualifies for 100-Fly Final at World Champi
Former California star Dana Vollmer anchored the United States' 4x100-meter freestyle relay to a fourth-place finish in the final at the 2009 FINA Swimming World Championships on Sunday night in the Stadia del Nuoto in Rome. The U.S. quartet posted a time of 3:53.23, while the Netherlands won the relay in a world-record time of 3:31.72.
