No. 11 Cal Men's Swimming in Third Place After First Day of NCAA Championships
Bolstered by a national runner-up finish in the 400 medley relay and a third-place finish in the 200 free relay, the No. 11-ranked University of California men's swimming team sits in third place after day one of the 2008 NCAA Championships, held at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Wash. The Golden Bears, under the direction of first-year coach David Durden, trail only No. 2-ranked Arizona (137) and Texas (116) with 112 points, and are ahead of last year NCAA champs Auburn (97) and Bay Area rival Stanford (93).
