Cal Records Broken in First Day of NCAAs; Bears Sit in Third Place Overall Day 1 Final Results | Day 1 Prelim Results | Day 1 Prelim Results (Overall) | NCAA Notes | Live Scoring Two prominent California records were broken today at the 2008 NCAA Women's Swimming Championships at the McCorkle Aqautic Pavilion hosted by Ohio State. Junior Madison Kennedy set a new program record in the 50-yard freestyle, while the foursome of Kennedy, Hannah Wilson, Emily Silver and Dana Vollmer set a new benchmark in the 200-yard freestyle relay. As a team, Cal sits in third place (89 points) after six events of competition. Fellow Pac-10 foe Arizona leads the tournament field with 151 points.
