Cal Men's Swimming Successful in Pac-10 Prelims
The No. 11-ranked University of California men's swimming team had an extremely successful prelim session Thursday morning at the 2008 Pac-10 Conference Swimming Championships, hosted at the Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach, Calif. Led by first place prelim finishes by senior William Copeland in the 50 free (19.47) and freshman Martii Aljand in the 200 IM (1:45.44), the Golden Bears won two of three of the prelim events, and placed second in the 500 free (senior Dominik Meichtry, 4:21.36).
