The New York Red Bulls start their quest for their first MLS Cup title when they travel to Montreal on Sunday to face the Impact in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. New York, which finished first in the conference and received a bye in the knockout round, lost its only appearance in the MLS Cup final, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Columbus Crew in 2008.
