A former head of the Costa Rican soccer federation has pleaded guilty in New York to conspiracy and other charges. Eduardo Li admitted in Friday's plea that he took hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes from sports marketing executives and others. FIFA is still trying to shake off the toxic legacy of former president Sepp Blatter, whose 17 years in charge were abruptly halted last October as the extent of his financial misdemeanors started to unravel.
