Major League Soccer's New York City team says it's acquired a 17-acre site in the Rockland County town of Orangeburg with the intent of constructing a training complex. New York City Football Club, which is majority-owned by the parent company of Manchester City, said Wednesday it will build 1 1/2 grass fields and a 25,000-square foot building that includes office space and a player rehabilitation facility. The facility has been designed by Rafael Vinoly, who also designed the training facilities of Manchester City and Melbourne City, which also is controlled by City Football Group.
