Eventually it was the Saints who won it 30-24 in the end. /spanbr /br /Tries were scored by prop Soane Tonga'uiha, centre James Downey, and scrum-half Lee Dickson, with flyhalf Stephen Myler kicking everything asked of him, notching up 15 points on his own.br /br /For Gloucester Nicky Robinson kicked 14 himself, including conversions of Akapusi Qera’s try, and the penalty try that was awarded by referee Alan Lewis.br /br /“Cup finals are all about winning. You would take 3-0 in a final, but it is more encouraging when you can go out and play like that. There were two teams who wanted to play rugby, and I thought it was a good advert for the game," said Northampton coach Jim Mallinder.br /br /"The Premiership has had some stick recently but there were two teams out there who wanted to play rugby. This victory shows how far we have progressed. We are going to enjoy ourselves over the next 48 hours and then it's back to business," he added.br /br /The win books their place in the Heineken Cup for next season, as well as sets them up for the possibility of a rare treble, as they’re in this years quarter final, as well as currently sitting two points behind Guinness Premiership leaders Leicester.br /br /centerobject height="288" width="400"param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/t5gEINpag-8amp;hl=en_GBamp;fs=1amp;rel=0"param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/t5gEINpag-8amp;hl=en_GBamp;fs=1amp;rel=0amp;showinfo=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="288" width="400"/embed/object/centerbr /span style="font-size:85%;"span style="font-weight: bold;"Time:/span 07:22/spandiv class="blogger-post-footer"http://www.rugbydump.comimg width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/32316390-4486304879639220489?l=rugbydump.blogspot.com' alt='' //divdiv class="feedflare"a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/rugbydump?a=IiISlnTE8io:SU4k60_pJPw:yIl2AUoC8zA"img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/rugbydump?d=yIl2AUoC8zA" border="0"/img/a/divimg src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/rugbydump/~4/IiISlnTE8io" height="1" width="1"/ More...
