
NASCAR driver Kyle Larson was ruled out of Sunday's race at Martinsville Speedway, failing to get medical clearance after fainting during an autograph session. Regan Smith was to replace Larson in the No. 42 Chevrolet at Martinsville. Larson, the 2014 Sprint Cup rookie of the year, checked out of Martinsville Memorial Hospital on Saturday after fainting at the Chevy Stage in the fan area. He was 17th in the final Sprint Cup standings - the highest driver not eligible for the 16-person championship field.
