Thanks for the messages! I skipped the pikey skills like toe shoot, toe-on, etc. and it's on the other split that I use for tumbling and stuff so it got a good rest! I think it might have been too overstressed! And tight. It's getting better! It would hurt sometimes when I would walk, but then loosen out and feel better, so I don't think it's a tear. Ice/heat/vicks/massage works well![ Read More... ]

It depends how bad it is. Does it hurt when you are walking? How about at other times when you are just sitting or standing or squeezing your muscles? If it does you probably have a small tear in your hamstring, if you do it could turn into a big tear which could mean you wont be able to train for several months and even will not be able to walk at first. One of my friends on the team pulled her leg like that because her coach was stretching her the kneeling down way, where the coach stands behind you and pulls one leg up - she pulled too hard and her leg popped and she pulled something in her leg. It took like 1-2 months to be totally the same, and do all the skills she wanted including the piking skills like toe shoot, toe-on free-hip, etc. But[ Read More... ]

I pulled my hamstrings in one of my legs when I was doing the other leg splits. I didn't feel anything bad when I was doing them, but then it just happened and I noticed it when I was doing the pike stretch with the same leg stretching (one leg straight, one leg bent pike stretch). Clockwise - the dancer is turning with her right shoulder going back. The picture isn't changing lol. But my friend showed it to his friend and she said that the dancer is changing direction like every 5 turns or something lol. I like to turn to my left though in the gymnastics dance moves, but I can do both ways.

We check faxes and emails for parental consent forms throughout the day, so it could be anywhere from 10 minutes to 24 hours. Once we get your parental consent form (for ages under 13), we activate your Gym Chat account / player web and send you email confirmation.
