This means, Kansas is not that flat after all: they gained 3382 feet (1031 m) elevation while crossing the state. Janos and Peter followed the same riding pattern as yesterday, they spent most of the hot and windy daytime hours in the shade, and rode when the wind calmed down, mostly in the evening, until late night, 10:30 pm.
