Beth Tweddle posted her best ever score on the floor as Britain's women qualified in fifth for the weekend's European Team Finals in France.
The 23-year-old reigning champion in the uneven bars qualified in first position for the individual bars final and was ranked second in the floor.
Team-mate Rebecca Downie also impressed to make the bars and vault final.
The GB squad, which also includes Laura Jones, Hannah Clowes and Marissa King, has also had to overcome a bout of flu.
Britain's head coach Colin Still said: "Considering the way the flu hit the girls after they arrived they did a great job.
"To qualify in fifth and show all the promise of a fully fit team that could stretch as far as the medals is a fantastic result."
When one girl/guy on the team gets sick, it happens a lot that a lot of the others on the team get sick too! Must be being so close to each other, sharing the chalk, etc.
Good job for the Britain team. I like Beth Tweddle's agressiveness on her bars routine.
