Is the weight a problem?
Ive heard that some athletes are psychologically from the coaches because of their weight.Im 17 im 1.57 m and im not skinny,so i wanna know if that is gonna be a problem for me for doing gymnastics for the first time on the gym... any advice?

Muscle is good, you can build some more muscle before your first gymnastics class, and you can also build more muscle there too! Have fun! When are you going to start?

The coaches usually aren't like that in rec classes, to bother the gymnasts about their weight, the media about the weight issue bothering was about higher level competitive gymnastics / elite gymnastics.
