how to keep cool in the hot gym!
how to keep cool in the hot gym with no air conditioning! we have fans around the gym, but no air conditioning. some real hot days we take practice to the pool! bring those hair water spray bottles and spray! guess the gyms on the east coast all have air condititioning tho since it gets so hot there huh?! esp. in July and August. and also like in Nevada and Texas. ~~~~~~~~~~~~Splash Party!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :D

my gym isn't in those hot hot areas, but we have air conditioning yay! :D spraying is fun too tho and we do that too! with the increased temps. now, getting hotter and hotter temps., global warming, maybe more gyms will get the air conditioning rather than lose business!

Put your water bottle in the freezer before taking it to the gym! Not too long though - b/c or else it will be too much ice and you can't drink it right away!

92 degrees and no air conditioning!! check out the article listed at http://www.gymchat.com/messageboards/viewtopic.php?t=1154
The temperature was nearly 92 degrees outside and there was no chance of any air conditioning units being turned on in the Gymnastics Revolution gymnasium on Francis J. Clarke Circle. If you can't take the heat then you don't belong in the gym. In fact, the young gymnasts crowded among the seemingly endless line of mats were too busy practicing to be thinking about the heat or anything else not related to the training session.
That really seems unhealthy and unsafe. And the part "If you can't take the heat then you don't belong in the gym." - ??? doesn't make sense. not logical. making light of the situation. why aren't the air conditioning units on if they have it? to increase profit margin? now, there's something to write about also. so the kids don't care b/c they like doing gymnastics so much, they're kids. you're not supposed to overpower them just b/c you can. where are the parents? what about overheating?.... it would be nice and appropriate to have regulations that gyms must follow.

oo fun! that will work good with the new gk leos that are tech mesh like swimsuits! (topic http://www.gymchat.com/messageboards/viewtopic.php?t=447 ) That's much better than the kiddie pools that some gyms use for the little kids - and more sanitary too! Some gyms don't even let you keep your water bottle on the floor! That's awesome!
