first meets
My first meet was not so good, but the second went really well considering I just moved to level seven. I even qualified for state.

Cool! :D What scores did you get? Are you still doing YMCA? No zones, you just qualify straight to state from individual competitions? What do you do for your bars routine? It's not requred in club gymnastics to do giants in your level 7 routine I don't think (unless they changed it!), but most clubs have that in, to get the points and routines easier and also you need it for the next levels, and adding in release moves. Here's the common routine: kip, free hip, kip, pike on, kip on high bar, cast to handstand (usually straddle!), 2 giants, layout flyaway.

Yes, I still do YMCA, so pretty much no one does giants. And yes, state is a 31.0 AA, and I got a 32!

What's the highest level there? What did you do for your other routines? Did you have to do backhandspring on beam? We do tsuks vault for level 7.
