My first meet is in the second weekend of december. There is one in November and one the first week in December, but I have made the desicion not to go because of my back injury. I'm so excited!

cool! we have optionals (levels 7,8,9,10) competitions starting in december I think, and then a lot of them start a couple months after that!

My first meet was december ninth. I took first on bars, second on beam and aa, and fourth on floor. I made a lot of easily fixed mistakes, though, on EVERY event.

my second meet went really crappy on January 6th or something, but I still managed third on beam. I had a meet on Snday too, and won bars with only a 6.55(toughest judge around and not my best routine). I took second on beam, with an 8.7( I fell on my b/wo , wobbled on my full turn, didn't point my toes on my tuck jump, AND nearly skipped the forward handstand on the dismount) I was pretty happy w/that score!

that judge must have been scoring pretty hard on bars! you don't have to score in the 9's to win an event usually?

Not in my age group! I compete w/other YMCA's in wisconsin. The 11 yr old age group is the hardest, but mine(14 and up) is one of the easiest.
