American Brendan Steele parred his last five holes to card an eight-under-par 64 for a one-stroke lead when the weather-delayed first round of the Texas Open was completed in San Antonio on Friday. Steele, the 2011 champion, had stormed to eight-under through 13 holes before his round was cut short by darkness on Thursday after heavy rain wiped out more than three hours of play at the TPC San Antonio.
