A veteran and a rookie: Rose"s first home match (PGA)
 As a player who has already amassed six points in the cauldron of The Ryder Cup, and featured on both a winning and losing side, it would be easy to assume that Justin Rose has just about experienced the full range of emotions evoked by the biennial contest, writes RyderCup.com's Steve Todd. Yet, the Englishman, who played such a pivotal role in the 'Miracle at Medinah' two years ago, will sample the unique atmosphere of a home match for the first time next week when he represents Europe in his third Ryder Cup at Gleneagles. Rose made his debut on American soil at Valhalla in 2008, when he contributed three points from four matches in Europe's 161/2-111/2 loss, but did not feature at The Celtic Manor Resort four years ago. He returned to the fold in Chicago, where he reformed his formidable foursomes partnership with Ian Poulter, before staging a stunning singles comeback against Phil Mickelson, coming back from the dead to win both of the closing two holes, as José María Olazábal's team completed an even more remarkable turnaround.
