A person familiar with the situation says free agent wide receiver Steve Smith traveled to Baltimore on Thursday to visit the Ravens just hours after being released by the Carolina Panthers. The person spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press Thursday because the Ravens do not announce free agent visits. The 34-year-old Smith, who ranks 19th all-time in the NFL in receptions, was released Thursday by the Panthers after 13 seasons.
