Former San Antonio Silver Stars coach Sandy Brondello has been hired to coach the Phoenix Mercury. She was an assistant coach for San Antonio from 2005 to 2009 and served as the team's head coach in 2010. The past three seasons, she was an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Sparks.
