Connecticut Sun acquires former UConn star Barbara Turner (AP) The Connecticut Sun acquired former University of Connecticut star Barbara Turner on Thursday in a trade with Houston that sends forward Megan Mahoney to the Comets. The 6-foot Turner was originally drafted by Seattle as the 11th overall pick in the 2006 WNBA draft. She was waived by the Storm in the 2007 preseason and signed with Houston.
