
Dodgers manager Don Mattingly says a missed sign led to a steal attempt during Friday's 12-2 victory over Chicago that irked Cubs manager Mike Quade. The Dodgers were leading 8-1 when A.J. Ellis attempted to steal second with pitcher Chad Billingsley at the plate in the top of the fifth inning. That led Quade to wonder about obtaining a copy of Los Angeles' "unwritten rules" book.
