Australian national team coach Peggy Liddick (Shannon Miller's old coach in USA with Steve Nunno) says:

Liddick brought the USA hair styles and leo styles she did in the USA to the Australian team.
Her teammate Hollie Dykes (she got 7th all-around at 2006 Worlds) - did late withdrawal from the competition because of a minor back injury
Australia wins over Japan: 232.925 to 227.200
Japan wins over Australia in even a bigger margin: 438.900 to 419.900. Japan got top 5 all-around scores.
