"Ferrari Leads Qualifying at Europeans" - http://intlgymnast.com/news/2007/april/042607_europeans.html
Ferrari's routine on uneven bars featured a Comaneci salto between the bars, a Jaeger and a double layout dismount. Her routine on balance beam was slightly shaky, but she did not have any major wobbles. Ferrari's skills included a flip-flop, full; front aerial; sheep jump; back tuck; and switch ring leap.
Vanessa Ferrari's Comaneci salto is pretty! i like that skill, not that many do it. Vanessa Atler had a tough time with it in her bar routine and missed the bar on her regrasp a lot Ferrari's coach:
Casella said he thought the scoring on balance beam was generous overall, even to Ferrari. "I thought the scores on beam were too high," he said, "For Vanessa, it was too high

Italy's Vanessa Ferrari (2006 world all-around champion) wins all-around title at Europeans. Her first event: beam - minor balance check on a flip flip; then floor - very good, then vault, then bars - landing double layout with a hop. Romania's Sandra Izbasa (3rda ll-around at worlds) got 2nd - she started on bars (her lowest scoring event of the dat), then beam and floor got her the highest two scores, then she did vault. Ukraine's Alina Kozich (2004 European all-around champion) got 3rd all-around, with the highest beam score on her last event. 4th place for women's all-around: Romania's Steliana Nistor (2004 European junior champ) - she fell on beam (flip flop full) and floor (2 1/2 twist layout punch front). Russia's Maxim Devyatovsky - men's all-around champion -vault, solid double front, -had near miss on high bar in 3rd rotation, 6th rotation on rings, stuck landing with fist pumping after Germany's Fabian Hambuchen 2nd - he dismounted rings in the 1st rotation with conservative double front (his 2nd lowest score) - almost fell on dismount sequence on pommel horst in 5th rotation, but landed - that was his lowest score of all 6 events. article: "Ferrari, Devyatovsky Win Europeans" - http://intlgymnast.com/news/2007/april/042807_europeans.html Results: 2007 European Gymnastics Championships 4/28, Amsterdam Women's All-Around 1. All the talk during the American Tyson Cup about Ukraine's Daria Zgoba's home-made grips of gauze and tape, and she wins gold on the uneven bars again! Italy's Carlotta Giovannini got gold on vault with double-twisting Yurchenko and round-off, half-on, front-full. Germany's Oksana Chusovitina got silver with a full-twisting piked front and a 1-1/2-twisting Tsukahara. Ferrari got 1st on floor, Tweddle got 2nd. Ferrari fell on the 2 events before - bars and beam. Romania's Sandra Izbasa withdrew from the floor final b/c she hurt her foot on beam (the event before) on her triple twist dismount on beam (she got 2nd, Lozhechko got 1st). Romania's Marian Dragulescu had an off day: -he didn't finish his floor routing - he had a heavy landing to the back of his head on a layout Thomas salto and then tried twice to run into his last tumbling pass but didn't tumble - just stopped and walked off the podium -maybe his head was hurting a lot from that hard landing. -then later in the afternoon in vault final: he missed his second vault (round-off, half-on, 2-1/2 twisting front). -he usually scores really well on these 2 events Check out more competition details from "Seven Countries Win European Event Golds" - http://intlgymnast.com/news/2007/april/042907_europeans.html Results: 2007 European Gymnastics Championships 4/29, Amsterdam Women's Vault 1. Bart and Elfi did make a huge deal about Ukraine's Daria's 'home-made grips' with gauze and tape as they would put it! Guess they used grips and loved them! A lot of countries outside of the USA don't use them, but perhaps they would if they were given to them at no charge.

Daria's and Nastia's bar routines have the difficulty built more on connections vs. like Ferrari's or Tweddle's bar routines that are by more release moves - so if you mess up on a routine built with connections, you can lose more points and be off the medal podium, whereas in one built with difficulty around release moves if you mess up a little it won't be so hard on your score and it's easier to still medal.
