UK anti-doping agency rebuked in handling of doctor's case (The Associated Press)
The findings were announced after an independent investigation into U.K. Anti-Doping's handling of the intelligence it received about London-based doctor Mark Bonar from amateur cyclist Dan Stevens. Andy Ward, a former senior police official, headed the investigation and rebuked UKAD for failing to contact Britain's General Medical Council, a regulatory body, to check on the allegations against Bonar. Stevens, who was banned for two years by UKAD for refusing to take a doping test, went to the agency in 2014 with allegations against Bonar in hopes of having his sanction reduced. More...
