there was a similar article a while back regarding the training methods in China. and there's that movie talking about such training methods, this one is in Europe, in the IG magazine this month. so, it's not just China, though it's prob. a little different in any country, with the diff. culture.

flyingflex: you can do that dismount from the beam now! is ur friend a gymnast too? handspring double front from board is cool! :D also, in the summer olympics a girl switched from gymnastics to diving and got to the olympic level for diving pretty fast! plus, lots of divers do gymnastics for the aerial flipping part of it.
