Lilia Podkopayeva: [quote]The 29-year-old remembers standing atop the medal podium, receiving the women's all-around gymnastics gold medal, and listening to her nation's anthem. Ballet is a lot different from gymnastics, gymnastics practice, even gymnastics conditioning - it's a lot slower paced you know. So, a lot of gymnasts probably would not want to be required to take ballet. There isn't one way to training / practicing, so gymnasts should do what works for them. Shawn Johnson is an awesome example of different than usual training that works and is fun!!

Are you sure that's the reason your teammates don't like her? Could it be that they just don't like her style of coaching? I had a similar experience - sometimes people think of a 'hard coach' and 'making you work harder' as the reason you're not comfortable with a coach or don't like working with them, when it's really their style of coaching - not the hard coach and working hard part. It sounds like you're talking about an animal when you say behave or behavior - you know like in those pet training things, they say, behave...but ya, I don't use it on my pets either.
