If the kids are interested, and the parents are interested, then it's just about working together.

Sounds like there are others in your gym that agree with you, so how about going together and asking the president/vice president for a board meeting when everyone is available, to address these problems. You can tell them it seems like the treasurer is not familiar with the rules. If that doesn't work, go to the gym owner. Which gym owner wants to reduce their team members?

For us, it's usually push-up, but only when we have girls bailing out of tumbling passes.
