Dominique Dawes, another 1996 Mag7 winning gold team member, who successfully made a comeback and competed at the 2000 Games too, approves of the selection process: "Domnique Dawes gives thumbs up to the gymnastics Olympic selection process" http://www.gymchat.com/messageboards/showthread.php?t=70713 Of course she does agree to that it is intense.

[quote]We sized them up. We measured them, top to bottom. We've done our own Tale of the Tape, and we've come to a surprising conclusion. Pound for pound, the toughest sport in the world is . . . Which scoring system do you think is better-- the one out of 10.0 or the new open-ended one? On the one hand, it is always great when you or your gymnast gets that 10.0, and it is something to go for, but on the other hand with the new system you can think more outside of the box, so to say! What do you all think?
