Orange County Kodokan (OCK) dojo is one of the oldest, most respected judo dojos in Orange County. With a world-class staff of instructors, we have been teaching men, woman, and children the martial art of judo for decades. Turning-out a number of national champions and three Olympians, we are proud of our heritage. We are committed to retaining the traditional values that have given us longevity and have helped us develop a respectable reputation. Orange County Kodokan supports charitable non-profit judo organizations through the Orange County Kodokan Judo Dojo Foundation, and the Nanka Yudanshakai. If you would like to learn more about our program or are interested in becoming a supporter or sponsor, we invite you to contact us. Our objective is to teach the physical and mental disciplines of the time honored martial art of Judo. Our students will learn an appreciation for the benefits that come from hard work and dedication not only on the mat but in their everyday lives. We teach discipline, confidence, self defense, and conditioning. Our instructors strive to instill positive attitudes in the entire OCK family that reflect respect towards themselves, their neighbors, their community and their country.

NO, NO, NO!!! If you are thinking about enrolling, turn around and run as far as you can from Orange County Kodokan. DIRTY SCAMS, DIRTY BUSINESS ETHICS, DIRTY ETIQUES. This is my experience with Orange County Kodokan. On Oct. 15th, 2008, my brother and I enrolled at Orange County Kodokan. They had several payment plans with longer the contract, the cheaper the monthly fee was. Therefore, we signed up for 12 months contract. The first 2 months was okay. But the trouble all started as my brother injured his elbow during judo training at Orange County Kodokan. One day, during the practice session, my brother fell and got himself a crack on his elbow. He unfortunately had to have a cast on his arm for minimum of 3 to 4 weeks. So, he couldn’t make it to practice for about 7 weeks. With my brother’s injury, I asked Tracy Okada (Tony Okada’s wife) to hold his payment during his recovery. Tracy Okada handles management for the Orange County Kodokan. However, her answer was “NO”. She couldn’t care less about my brother’s injury as long as she was receiving his monthly payments through a payment collection company called, “Member Solutions”. After that incident, I was disgusted with their way of thinking and as well as their way of doing business. So, I stopped going to the practice even though I was keep getting charged every month by Member Solutions. They automatically take out money from my bank account every month. With regrets of enrolling at Orange County Kodokan, my contracted ended on October 15th, 2009. With ending of my contract, I wanted nothing to do with Orange County Kodokan. BUT… when I checked my bank account on Nov. 15th, 2010. Member Solutions charged me $80. Why? I was shocked and angry. Without hearing anything from Orange County Kodokan nor the Member Solutions, they suddenly show up and take money from my bank account. For what reason? I called Member Solutions to figure out what was going on. The representative for Member Solutions told me that on the contract which I have signed on Oct. 15th, 2008, it states in small prints that the contract AUTOMATICALLY RENEWS after one year as my contract ends. What kind of business tactic is that? Doesn’t it seem like a business scam or a fraud? And as I was trying to discuss about them charging my bank account, the representative whom the name was either, Jonathan or Justin, hung up on me. So, I called back and he avoided me and kept saying, “Can I help you anything else other than that?”. By the way, Tracy Okada doesn’t mention about automatic renewal ever. Here is my advice to anyone who is looking for Martial Arts Club. Do not sign anything!! Avoid martial arts clubs that try to get you to sign up on contract!! Look for Martial Arts clubs where you can pay month to month. Martial Arts clubs like Orange County Kodokan and the payment collection company like Member Solutions have dirty business ethics and are trying to get your money with using disgusting tactics and unimaginably twisted contracts!! Be aware of dirty scam martial arts clubs like Orange County Kodokan and look for martial arts clubs where you can pay by month to month.
