The first time I won an all-around trophy for first place was a Green County. I remember that day like no other. Firstly, it was freezing cold. Secondly, I remember not placing on vault. I Figured I wouldn't get any medals.(vault was the first event announced) I ended up winning bars and floor; and getting second on beam. When awards were over, I stuffed my trophy in my bag (lol) and called my mom. It was just my dad and I at this meet b/c she had to work. Then I called my grandma. My dad and I went into the main lobby area and were flabergasted my the image on the small tv screen. It was the day the spaceship crashed. We couldn't believe it. It will always stick out in my memory. 2 years later, I gained a third-place aa trophy there. After not placing on a single event, I wasn't even paying attention. My team had to push me up there.
