how many competitions per season?
for optionals, we have like 10 competitions per season. what about u?

we have about 10 for compulsory and optionals too. unlike the YMCA though, the team members don't really get a choice about competiting unless they have a good reason - otherwise the owners of the gym will consider taking you out of the team

Yeah. Level threes are only require to do three meets, everyone else-5. Most people go to a lot more though.

same, competitions r usually every other weekend, sometimes 3 weeks in between, and sometimes 2 weeks in a row... ...then comes States! and Regionals!! and Nationals!! :D

the optionals team at our gym had 3 weeks competition in a row this season...and now this weekend one of the teams is a team of 1.5 (the 2nd person is only doing like half of the events)...guess there was a lot of hard landings and not enough rest and good competition & practice scheduling / planning. ....gotta get ready for states and regionals and nationals!!

We have our last meet b4 state this weekend. I'm so mad at my mom. Hse said that track practice went too late(5:10) and I couldn't go to gym b/c I'd burn myself out. Gym started at 6. She's upset that I don't get my b/wo on beam consistently and then forces me to skip one of my two practices a week! That so doesn't make sense.
