Difference between USAG, AAU, YMCA gymnastics programs
USAG: http://usa-gymnastics.org AAU: http://aausports.org Not all states have AAU. Apparently you can get a scholarship under the AAU program too (check out post http://www.gymchat.com/messageboards/viewtopic.php?t=25016 - scholarship at Division I college, but then opts to go Division III because the coaches were mean), so it must mean you can go to the level 10 level at least. But the USAG program route has the national elite traning camps, etc. and is recognized nationwide. I heard the standards are generally a little lower and it's more laid back in AAU than USAG. Anyone here does AAU? There's also the YMCA program option of course - generally lower standards and more laid back too. AAU Nationals are at Disney World every 3 years: [quote]The AAU Age Group Level Gymnastics National Championships is held every three years at Disney Wide World Of Sports
