Argentina coach Alfio Basile quits (AP)
Argentina coach Alfio Basile resigned Thursday, a day after his team's 1-0 loss at home to Chile in a World Cup qualifier. Argentine Football Association spokesman Ernesto Cherquis Bialo said Basile quit "for personal reasons." After a 3-0 start in qualifying, Argentina had a five-match winless streak (0-1-4) before defeating visiting Uruguay on Saturday.
